PHYBS/AHYYB 2024 Fall Softball

For players who want to play more house softball after the regular season, or did not play in the Spring we offer a second season - Fall Ball.  Games are planning to start the weekend of August 21st, and end October 10th. Games will mostly be on the weekend unless sunlight allows some early weekday games.  Home games will be played in Prospect Heights and away games will be played in the surrounding suburbs. This league is dependent on interest by division.

PHYBS 2024 Baseball - House

PHYBS offers both baseball and softball programs. From Pintos, who are just learning to pitch and field and whose teams are based on friends and neighborhoods, through the Seniors level where future high-school players hone their skills, kids learn and play the game of baseball. Along the way, they are taught self-respect, teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition. A focus on player development and fair participation rules apply at all levels. Approximately two games and one practice are scheduled each week. Seniors may have three games each week. Practices start in early April at the discretion of the manager; games run from late April to early July. PHYBS is an all volunteer league and managed by parents volunteering their time. With the number of volunteers dropping, PHYBS is following the policies of other organizations in the surround communities and instituting a volunteer fee with the idea to encourage volunteers vs. paying additional fees. Many have expressed that they cannot coach/manage or are not skilled in sports - there are many more roles other than coaching.  PHYBS needs volunteers. The volunteer roles have little or no need for baseball or softball knowledge. PHYBS is asking that you volunteer your time to help manage the league your children enjoy playing in and leave your money in your wallet.
